Learning
ADT’s Learning program seeks to connect emerging artists, students, educators and young people with our company, creating a direct link from the stage to the classroom or the studio.
Led by Learning and Engagement Manager Adrianne Semmens (Barkindji), our learning program is based upon the principles of care, inclusion, and accessibility.
Throughout the year we present a comprehensive program of workshops for schools, professional development sessions for teachers and a range of community focussed initiatives.
Inspiring the next generation of dancers is central to our mission at ADT. We run workshops throughout the year. We host workshops at our home, The Odeon, we travel to schools and we work in communities.
Workshops are offered alongside our performance seasons and are available on-demand throughout the year.
Click here to enquireA comprehensive guide to the ideas, movements and histories that underpin our work, Two Blood. Supported by the National Foundation for Australia-China Relations, this resource is available in English, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese, and features video interviews with key creatives and exclusive behind the scenes content.
Throughout the year, we offer a suite of professional development workshops for primary and secondary teachers. Understanding that often teachers work broadly across a variety of subjects, our professional development workshops tackle everything from dance fundamentals to movement theory to devising and improvisation.
